The Society of Emergency Radiology was borne out of the need to enhance the quality of this critical diagnostic intervention through recognition of the multiple processes at play in emergent conditions. It works to enhance the standard of care through its commitment to research, training, knowledge sharing as well as implementation of basic guidelines relating to both diagnostic facilities as well as response and action frameworks.
